TMJ Rehabilitation
Problems can occur with your temporomandibular joint, which is the joint that connects your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull. These bones are located in front of each ear.
TMJ issues can be the result of whiplash or head trauma, constant stress that prompts you to clench your teeth tightly and tighten your facial muscles, grinding teeth and clenching teeth even during sleep, and movement of the disc between the ball and socket of the joint.
Physical therapy is effective in the treatment and prevention of further TMJ disorder.
